Michael Roy Blakely

Michael Roy Blakely 73 of Portland, Oregon, passed away on Oct. 9th, 2019 in Portland, Oregon. Michael Roy Blakely was born on June 19th, 1946 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Syl- vester Homesly & Dicie L. Johnson. He attended and gradu- ated from Jefferson High School in Portland, Oregon. Mi- chael went on to work for ESCO Group LLC for 2yrs. Michael moved to Corvallis, Oregon with his partner of 33yrs Jeanne Anderson. Michael attended Culinary Arts School where he graduated as a Gourmet Chef and worked at Oregon State University for many years before moving to Denver, Colo- rado where he worked for Poudre Valley Hospital until he re- tired. Michael loved outdoors, he spent most of his time fishing and hanging out at the beach. Michael was preceded in death by both parents Sylvester and Dieie. Michael is survived by siblings: Delores Edwards of Oklahoma, Sylvester L. Home- sly of Seattle, Washington, Angelo L. Brown, Jamar Brown, Daniel W. Riley, and Johnny P. Riley, Vance Fellon, Carlos McCall, and James Brown Jr. all of Portland, Oregon. Nieces: Malinda Harris (Jerald Harris) Sara Riley, Kindra Riley Nephews: Antonio Thomas (Iesha Thomas), Jerome Thomas, Stanley Kelly, Daniel Riley, Steven Riley, Daniel Zerkel, Earl Riley, Sheldon Riley and host of great nieces and nephews.
