Earla Jean Hudson

d. October 19, 2019

Earla passed away and went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on October 19, 2019 in Portland, OR with her family by her side. Born to Earl Clarkson and Wilma Jean Clarkson on June 21, 1949, Earla was the oldest of 5 sisters (Kathy Charlton, Debbie Norris, Glenda Wilson and Pamela Lowe-Fulshear) and 1 brother (Gregory Owen).

When Earla was 16, she met the love of her life, Cloyce Eugene Hudson and they were married on December 13, 1965. They lived in Electra, TX all their lives until they moved to Longmont, CO in October 2013 after Cloyce was diagnosed with cancer. Cloyce passed away on April 17, 2014. Earla suffered from Lewy Body Dementia and so after Cloyce passed away, Earla moved to Portland, OR to be cared for by her son, David Hudson and his wife Tricia Hudson.

She is survived by her 3 children: Beverly (Jimmie) Solis of Colorado, David (Tricia) Hudson of Oregon, and Darrel (Heather) Hudson of Colorado. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren: Amber Frazier Rodriguez, Lauren Frazier, Braden Frazier, Christina Staggs, Cameron Staggs, Emma Solis, Hunter Hudson, and Nevaeh Hudson.

Earla was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a stay at home mother for many years but was also a data entry clerk at Cryovac for a number of years. She was an active member of Electra Community Church and played the piano for many years. She was also involved in Bible study groups. She loved her children, grandchildren and any child she met. She loved to do crafts and was an avid researcher for her family genealogy. Earla loved to tell people about Jesus any chance she could. She was loved by the many people she touched.

The family has decided to have a memorial service for Earla next spring on March 14, 2020 to allow for as many people who would like to come to make travel arrangements to be there.
